The Team
The World of Icelandic Music was founded by exhibition designer Axel Hallkell Jóhannesson and entrepreneur Þorsteinn Jóhannesson. Together with CEO Hildur Harðardóttir and a dedicated team of creative collaborators and partners, they have brought their shared vision of celebrating Iceland’s musical heritage to life.
The audio guide unfolds through a script by acclaimed Icelandic author Þórarinn Eldjárn, accompanied by an original soundtrack by his son, composer and musician Úlfur Eldjárn.
Research and scholarly input were provided by Arnar Eggert Thoroddsen, Árni Heimir Ingólfsson and Þorbjörg Daphne Hall.
