Welcome to The World of Icelandic Music. By accessing our premises, using our website, or participating in any of our services, events, or programs, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully. Last updated: June 8th, 2026.

To ensure that everyone can enjoy the exhibition, guests are expected to show general courtesy in words and actions towards our staff and other guests. The World of Icelandic Music reserves the right to remove individuals who display inappropriate or threatening behavior and do not comply with the rules and safety guidelines of The World of Icelandic Music and Harpa.

Please review your ticket purchase carefully at the time of purchase, as corrections may not be possible afterward. Ticket holders are encouraged to ensure the correct date of entry on their tickets. Entities or travel agencies purchasing tickets on behalf of guests (individuals or groups) are responsible for ensuring that the correct date and number of tickets have been selected. The World of Icelandic Music does not bear responsibility for purchasing errors made by third parties. 

By purchasing a ticket, ticket holders agree to follow national laws as well as the rules and safety guidelines of The World of Icelandic Music during their visit. Note that tickets for the exhibition are sold in Icelandic krona (ISK) and therefore prices displayed in other currencies can vary due to exchange rates.

Ticket holders with any special needs including (but not limited to) mobility challenges, allergies, sensitivities to noise, lights, video projections or other elements that may occur within the exhibition bear responsibility for alerting staff at Harpa of any requests for assistance before their visit.

Ticket holders with physical ailments or medical conditions, or who may be pregnant, are advised to request wheelchair assistance if needed. Harpa is completely wheelchair accessible.

Each ticket holder visits Harpa and The World of Icelandic Music at their own risk. 

Ticket holders attending the exhibition with children are responsible for ensuring their safety and supervision at all times. 

Large bags and backpacks are not permitted inside the exhibition. Ticket holders should arrange for suitable storage for their large items before entering the exhibition. 

No food or beverages of any kind are permitted within the exhibition.

It is not permitted to resell tickets for financial gain. If a ticket is sold for profit by anyone other than The World of Icelandic Music, Harpa, Tix and its affiliates, The World of Icelandic Music reserves the right to cancel such tickets.

The World of Icelandic Music does not guarantee reminders of the event via SMS or email. It is the ticket holder's responsibility to keep track of the event date and start time.

The World of Icelandic Music is not responsible for personal belongings before, during, or after the ticket holder attends the exhibition.

Harpa's ticket office sells tickets on behalf of the event organizer, and processes personal information in accordance with applicable laws. See Harpa's Privacy Policy at harpa.is for more details.

Refund Policy

A ticket or gift card purchaser has 14 days from the date of purchase to cancel their purchase and request a refund. This applies to all ticket purchases, whether made through The World of Icelandic Music, Harpa, Tix websites, or at Harpa’s ticket office. Please note that this does not apply to tickets purchased when there are less than 14 days until the event.

To request a refund for a ticket or gift card within 14 days of purchase, the customer must send a request via email to midasala@harpa.is, including their name, email address, phone number, and ticket purchase details.

If the refund conditions are met, the purchase will be refunded within 14 days, using the same payment method as the original transaction.

Please note that tickets for the event are sold in Icelandic krona (ISK) and therefore refunds may vary due to exchange rate.
